Program Agenda
Time: 2:00 pm to 2:40 pm
Panel Title: Delivering High-Capacity Connectivity during Mega Events
Panel Description: Mega sports and entertainment events are pioneers in our industry, leading the way in deploying next-gen communications infrastructure on a large scale. Network owners and operators have a wide assortment of technologies in their toolbox, including mobile, fiber, edge, Wi-Fi, private networks, and more. The goal is to build and operate highly scalable, high-bandwidth mobility networks at these venues and events while maximizing the available spectrum to meet the needs of thousands of attendees. This task is immensely challenging, but the panel experts have a proven track record of designing and building solutions to support mega events such as the Super Bowl, Taylor Swift concerts, and Formula 1 events, to name a few. This panel will discuss how various technologies serve as enablers, the rationale behind key technology choices, criteria used to design and build next-gen networks, and, ultimately, the importance of having a vision for what’s coming next to ensure a future-proof network.
Panelists:
Matthew Pasco – VP, Technology, The Raiders
Brandon Braunlich – Sr, Director, T-Mobile
Carla Shaffer – VP, Wireless, Wesco
Leo Matytsine – EVP, Matsing
Moderator:
Manish Matta – Head of Marketing, Matsing
Time: 2:45 pm to 3:25 pm
Panel Title: In-Building Wireless Technology for Large Venues Today and Tomorrow
Panel Description: The in-building wireless landscape is rapidly evolving, posing both business and technical challenges for enterprises and mobile network operators (MNOs). This panel will discuss how organizations determine whether to implement 4G or 5G solutions in large venues based on size and vertical type, balancing coverage needs with capacity-driven use cases. We will cover popular deployment strategies and the continued reliance on Multi-Operator Core Network (MOCN) and Multi-Operator Radio Access Network (MORAN) solutions, examining how these architectures address current connectivity challenges and identifying their limitations. Additionally, we’ll review innovative business models that have emerged when MNOs are unable to fund projects, providing insights into how enterprises can navigate budget constraints and still achieve robust in-building wireless performance. Join us to understand the future of in-building wireless technology and the strategies that are shaping it today.
