Session Description

The Sports & Entertainment industry has always been big business, but that business is now working hand in hand with the connected world. As a CIO in the industry, you have seen advancements such as mobile edge computing, C-band expansion, and private networks over the past few years. This has had a huge impact on many areas including content creation and distribution, enabling the building of smart venues and arenas, and has created safer and quicker frictionless payments on site.

Join the experts and your peers to discuss what's next when it comes to building a more immersive world-class fan experience, improving fan engagement and delivering more lucrative and personalized experiences.

Agenda

10:00 - 11:00 am - Show Must Go On: How Digital Technology is Continuously Transforming the Sports and Entertainment Industry?

In today's entertainment and sports landscape, fans and guests crave instant connectivity to share their memorable experiences in real-time. The demand for seamless data usage has elevated wireless connectivity to a pivotal role in delivering unparalleled experiences. As mobile ticketing becomes ubiquitous, strategic deployments of small cells near entry gates have emerged as integral components of technological decisions. Meanwhile, the synergy between Generative AI, the Metaverse, and Web3 is also revolutionizing content creation, consumption and engagement, offering limitless possibilities for gaming, music, film and beyond.

This session delves into how digital technologies serve as game-changers, not only enhancing fan experiences but also transforming the sports and entertainment vertical. Through compelling case studies from diverse sports and entertainment venues to major events, we will navigate the challenges, explore burgeoning partnerships aimed at delivering innovative solutions, and underscore the inherent value for venue owners. 11:30 - 12:30 pm - The X Factor: Creating A World Class Fan Experience

Across the globe, venues  are investing in digital solutions to enhance the fan/guest experience. This includes  enhanced connectivity to enable guests/fans to stream content to friends, frictionless payments to enable speedier purchase of refreshments, and  AI to drive facial recognition and secure access. First class apps provide travel and parking info, digital tickets, food options and queueing times.

For hotels, resorts and casinos, good wireless connectivity to drive an enhanced guest experience is now a critical part of the overall guest proposition. At home, the use of on-screen graphics and insights provides a better UX for the armchair fan.

This session will explore how technology is enabling the delivery of a more immersive, and better, fan, guest and player experience.
