Speaker Bio
Bill Redmann is InterDigital's Director of Standards for Immersive Media Technologies. In the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE), the Advanced Television Standards Committee (ATSC), and the Ultra HD Forum, he contributes to imaging, timing, and metadata standards for next-generation television and other media systems. Bill also chairs groups studying Sustainability in Media for these organizations. He is a SMPTE Fellow and chairs the Extensible Time Label (TLX) work there.
Bill holds an M.S. in Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) plus 92 issued U.S. patents relating to augmented and virtual reality, distributed streaming, displays, online communities, media production, digital cinema, exercise tracking, and (because everyone needs a hobby) electric vehicle infrastructure.
