Nishith Tripathi is a Subject Matter Expert with deep expertise in 5G, 6G, and 4G LTE technologies, including all layers of the radio protocol stack, radio network, core network, service network, Access Stratum (AS), Non-Access Stratum (NAS), RF design, and end-to-end operations. He has contributed to renowned organizations such as the FCC, CTIA, NSF, FTC, GSMA, Scientific American, CNN, and EE Times University. A seasoned technology trainer, he has educated thousands of engineers and executives across the wireless industry and serves as a Research Associate Professor at Virginia Tech. Nishith is a pioneer in applying AI to wireless communications, advancing research in Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) and Self-Organizing Networks (SON)/Minimization of Drive Tests (MDT), while contributing to 3GPP's design of 5G-Advanced features.


His hands-on experience spans the design, testing, deployment, operation, troubleshooting, and optimization of commercial 3G, 4G, and 5G networks. With comprehensive end-to-end knowledge of wireless networks, Nishith effectively communicates with diverse audiences, from C-level executives to chipset designers. He has authored articles, delivered presentations, and provided training to engineers, subject matter experts, executives, and sales teams to support strategic decision-making, expertise development, network design, and optimization. Nishith has also developed innovative algorithms for enhanced radio resource management in RAN products and has held key roles in the wireless industry with Nortel, Huawei, Award Solutions, and Samsung Research America.
