Speaker Bio
Jennifer is the Chief Democratic Counsel for the Communications and Technology subcommittee of the Energy and Commerce Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives. She is responsible for developing and advancing the legislative and policy goals for Committee Ranking Member Frank Pallone, Jr., and other Democratic members on communications policies, including affordable and accessible broadband internet service, consumer protection, spectrum management, and media and social media. She joined the Committee’s staff in 2018 as a detail from the Federal Communications Commission, where she enforced the agency’s open internet, privacy, consumer protection, and competition laws and regulations. She also worked as Counsel to the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee under Chairman John D. Rockefeller, and as policy counsel to North Carolina Governor Michael Easley and North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper. She grew up outside of Fort Worth, Texas, and received her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center.
