Speaker Bio
Rishma M. Khimji joined the Clark County Department of Aviation in 2022 as the department’s first Chief Information Technology Officer. She brings more than two decades worth of information technology experience, including more than a decade in the public sector. In this role, she will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of all information technology for Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) and its four sister general aviation airports.
Most recently having served as the Chief Information Officer for the San Francisco Police Department, Khimji also brings to CCDOA her experience with the Albuquerque Police Department as well as the City of Reno. Throughout her career, she has implemented many high-profile projects to enhance municipal services, resources, and accountability.
Khimji is a two-time graduate of the University of New Mexico, having earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Economics, as well as a master’s degree in Economics.
Khimji was born in Calgary, Alberta, and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she still has family. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and traveling.
