Mr. Seward, working for T-Mobile since 2007 in the Network Technology organization in Core Network and Services, has led and in many cases been the integral design engineer on a wide variety of strategic initiatives for the company. Most recently, since mid-2020, a great deal of focus has been dedicated to T-Mobile’s support of broadband networks (core and RAN) in support of 5G applications, private 5G networks both in the Department of Defense (DoD) and commercial opportunities, Multi Access Edge Compute (MEC), and in Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) service instantiation in T-Mobile’s network. Prior to that, key programs that he led surrounded onboarding of Push-to-Talk (PTT) services, integration of legacy Sprint Multiline services, Unified Communications and Collaborations (UCC) ground-up development including native IMS integration and Rich Communications Services (RCS) use, T-Mobile’s DIGITS products covering Android native integration and mobile (iOS/Android) application development including voice and messaging network service design, led iPhone onboarding for T-Mobile within engineering, the first on-device activation services for T-Mobile for iOS and Android devices for Postpaid and Prepaid services, Voice over LTE (VoLTE) integration for iPhone, Wi-Fi calling for iPhone, Apple integration for Continuity for iPad/Mac/iPod, the first use of IMS services in T-Mobile for Wi-Fi Calling, Identity and Access Management (IAM) OAuth services, and major messaging systems installations towards the beginning of his tenure at the organization.
