Juan is an airline executive with an extensive career in Corporate Finance, Airport Affairs, and Operations. He began his career in aviation as a Pilot and upon getting his Finance and MBA degrees he joined the corporate finance department of TWA at the headquarters office in St. Louis Missouri; shortly after, he moved to Texas and joined American Airlines where he held positions in Business Planning for the Americas, Controller of Ground Handling Affiliates, Manager Airport Resources, Airport Manager (Guatemala), Controller and Finance Manager (Venezuela), Country Manager (Nicaragua), Principal for Airport Affairs USA Central Region, Director of Airport Affairs and Properties for Latin America,  Director of Finance for the Miami Hub, and Managing Director of Miami Hub operations. In early 2019 Juan became the CFO of Gama Aviation Engineering for the USA, a global business aviation corporation and a major provider of MRO services in the USA service private aviation. Juan joined the founding members of Synaptic Aviation in early 2020; the tech company is a pioneer in developing artificial intelligence and computer vision solutions for airlines and airports. Juan has a B.B.A. in Finance, and MBA from Embry Riddle, a Post-MBA from INCAE in Costa Rica, and independent post-graduate studies in Harvard University. He also holds a current Commercial Pilot’s license, was the president of the Hispanic Latin Network at American Airlines and has been an active consultant at Gerson Lehman Group for 18 years.
