Speaker Bio

Vinod Choyi is a Distinguished Engineer - 5G Security Architect, responsible for 5G Core Network Security. He is involved in developing standards based security features, performing threat modeling, providing security requirements and developing custom solutions for securing the core network and the orchestration framework. Vinod is responsible for driving the technical strategy for the adoption of quantum-safe cryptography, and architectures for secure network slicing and roaming. Vinod is an active participant in various forums and standardization bodies including the Enduring Security Framework (ESF) in collaboration with the US govt., GSMA and ATIS.



Prior to this role, Vinod was involved in developing secure systems, trustworthy hardware and software architecture, federated and local authentication, and privacy protection of subscribers. As a security delegate, contributed and participated in creation of global standards for Internet and mobile device security through 3GPP, oneM2M, IETF and IEEE.


Vinod holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from University of Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science & Engineering from University of Mysore, India.
