Speaker Bio
Mike Silverman is the Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer at FS-ISAC, the member-driven, not-for-profit organization that advances cybersecurity and resilience in the global financial system. In this role, Mike is involved in FS-ISAC’s Post-Quantum Cryptography, Artificial Intelligence Risk, and Cloud Security working groups, as well as leads content creation for FS-ISAC’s annual summits. He also coordinates with members on FSSCC’s workstream on cloud security and OSSF on Open-Source security.
Mike began his work with artificial intelligence in 1996 and published papers on using AI to theoretically improve the GPS satellite constellation and using AI to detect shifting winds in 1998 and 2002, respectively. He also contributed to the book 97 Things Every Cloud Engineer Should Know in 2020. He received the 2023 FSSCC Momentum Award for his contributions to the industry.
Mike holds an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a BSE in Computer Engineering from Tulane University.
