Michael J. Zeto III is a seasoned technology executive and operator with a successful record of leading high growth initiatives for Fortune 100 brands and emerging businesses. With a keen vision for the future of technology, Michael has successfully led businesses in the software, IOT, smart city and wireless spaces. He currently serves as chief commercial officer (CCO) at Boingo Wireless.  In this role, Michael’s leadership drives the company's overall valuation and impacts the company’s global innovation and growth strategies. He has profit and loss ownership for Boingo’s enterprise business and large-scale public-private partnerships. His teams are directly responsible for all aspects of the business—including identifying areas for growth, testing and trialing new technologies, profitability, sales, carrier relationships, account management, operations and end-to-end network designs, builds and deployments. Michael is focused on bringing the promise of converged connectivity and digital transformation to large venues and enterprises worldwide, supporting Boingo’s airport, stadium, commercial real estate, manufacturing, healthcare and smart city partners. In this senior executive leadership role, Michael has helped Boingo win prestigious industry awards for excellence in technology innovation and deployment, including being named a “Best Wi-Fi Operator” by the Wireless Broadband Alliance and “Small Cell Technology Solution Provider of the Year” by the Mobile Breakthrough Awards.


Previously Michael was vice president, IoT solutions, and founder and general manager for AT&T’s smart cities and emerging IoT solutions. In this role he led the business unit’s pioneering strategy, product and go-to market plan for the budding smart city industry. He was responsible for the public sector IoT business, smart cities, drones, FirstNet, Private Network business and public-private partnerships. Michael previously served as AT&T’s director of strategy in the mobile & business solutions organization, focused on emerging growth opportunities across IoT, big data, AI, consumer engagement and cloud technologies.

Before joining AT&T, Michael co-founded and served as CEO of Proximus Mobility, a location-based consumer engagement software company. His career also included several general management, corporate development and enterprise sales positions with leading technology companies.

Michael is an established industry thought leader, recognized for guiding tech-forward companies through the process of commercializing and monetizing new product innovations. He is a contributor to Forbes, acts as a mentor and advisor to early-stage entrepreneurs throughout the U.S. and speaks at events to promote innovation, entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship. 

An active participant in the Atlanta technology community, Michael serves on the Metro Atlanta Chamber Board of Directors and has served on the Technology Association of Georgia Board of Directors. For his ongoing impact on the local business community, he has been named a 2024 Georgia Titan 100. He also earned a City & State Responsible 100 honor for his dedication to social corporate responsibility and is active in supporting local and national charities, including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and The Boys and Girls Club of America. He previously was a Georgia Research Alliance (GRA) Industry Fellow.
